Celebrate your Student of the Week with a very personal display. The week before you honor a student, give him or her a list of the phrases from this set (“Things I like to do; I’m excited about…; etc.). This helps the student and parents know what types of photos, schoolwork, and drawings to gather for the display. Invite your Student of the Week to put up the display, with your help. To extend learning, have another student come forward and use the display to “interview” the Student of the Week about him or herself. It’s a fun way to build conversation skills.
