WELCOME TO GERMANY BULLETIN BOARD

  1. Cover the bulletin board with blue paper for sky. Cover the bottom of the bulletin board with green paper for grass.
  2. Reproduce, color, cut out, and assemble the German boy (page 3), the girl (page 3), and the German chalet (page 4). Make many green construction paper trees and staple them onto the bulletin board.
  3. Print the message on this page and staple the message to the bulletin board.
  4. Make letters that say “Welcome to Germany” and staple the words onto the bulletin board.
  5. Optional: You may add a decorative German border.

GERMAN CHALETS

  1. German chalets have wide, overhanging eaves to protect the house from deep snows of the winter in the Alpine mountains.
  2. Big rocks are placed on the roof tops to keep the snow from moving.
  3. Thick beams support the roofs of the chalets.
