Inside a Flower by Harcourt Achieve Inc.

Flower Diagram

Have you ever seen the inside of a flower? If you were a bee, you would have seen the inside of many flowers! Bees help flowers to reproduce, or make more flowers. A bee goes to a flower for food to eat. It gets pollen on its body from the stamen of the flower. Then, the bee goes to the next flower. The bee pollinates the flower. The pollen from the bee’s body goes down the pollen tube in the pistil of the new flower. The pollen fertilizes the ovules, or tiny seeds, that are at the bottom of the pistil. The seeds begin to grow.
