Description

The Real World CenterSOLUTIONS(R) for the Common Core Kit for grade 3 combines a variety of activities to allow students to have different types of authentic learning experiences and skill practice in both math and reading.
Each double-sided mat provides students with colorful, thought provoking real-life images and two sets of questions to answer using the images. Each activity also includes two sets of generic questions to allow students to practice the same skills on a similar real-life scenario as well as helps students build connections that are critical to developing their ability to learn new skills. For example, if the activity focuses on a sales flyer, students can pull a sales ad from a local paper and practice the same skills. For each activity, teachers are provided with supporting information, extension ideas,and and answer key. This is perfect for learning centers, individual instruction, or group instruction. Each set includes 14 Mats (8.5″ x 12″) and 28 cards, 14 sheets (8.5″ x 5.5″) of cards with 2 cards each sheet. A teacher resource guide is also included with teacher tips and a reproducible student recording sheet.
