A simple yet, intriguing experiment showing the formation of crystals within minutes. Using a supersaturated solution, we observe that introducing table salt crystals into the solution has no effect. However, once we add even one crystal of sodium acetate, we suddenly observe a fascinating rapid crystallization process throughout the entire Petri dish, or in a transparent plastic vial.
