Description

Abraham Lincoln said many wise things during his lifetime…but this quote, “Leave nothing for tomorrow which can be done today,” struck a chord with us. He penned these words in notes he wrote for a law lecture given before he was elected as the 16th president of the United States. And, living by this motto, he accomplished so very much during his lifetime. Even though his days were cut short, Lincoln’s legacy and wisdom live on. The photo was taken in February of 1865 — two months before he died. The background includes, in Lincoln’s own handwriting, the opening words of his famous Gettysburg Address.
