This Phonemic Awareness and Phonics Interactive CD contains fun and engaging hands-on activities for use with interactive whiteboards or a computer. Designed to help students recognize the sounds that form familiar words, each activity concentrates on phonemes, the building blocks of language, and lets students practice matching those phonemes to illustrations of recognizable words. Students can manipulate objects as they experiment and simultaneously hear the sounds for those objects. As students see the relationships between the sounds that make up words, they form a better understanding of the spoken language, which leads to better reading comprehension.
