This weather board provides demonstration instruments such as a rain gage, thermometer and barometer. Students can record meteorological, environmental and forecast information as well as graph monthly temperature, atmospheric pressure and precipitation information. In the meteorological recording area, students can track weekly temperature readings (a.m., noon, p.m.), min/max temperatures, relative humidity, cloud type and amount, wind speed and direction as well as precipitation. The environmental information area offers space to record UV index and air pollution. In the forecast section students are encouraged to forecast weather conditions, to record today and tomorrow forecasts, the probability of precipitation (POP) and any severe weather warnings in effect.
