Help students see relationships, structure thinking, remember vocabulary, facts and concepts, and acquire and apply skills and knowledge! More than 25 different blank graphic organizers are followed by a completed model and a specific activity for that organizer.
Six units: Charts and Tables, Diagrams, Graphs, Lines, Maps, and Language and Memory Aids.
Each Lesson includes three parts:
1. A blank graphic organizer to be used with activities in the book or independently with appropriate classroom lesson plans,
2. A completed graphic organizer that serves as a model to give students a clear picture of how it’s used, and
3. an activity page designed to use the various blank graphic organizers.
A Correlation to Curriculum links activities to Social Studies, Science & Health, Language Arts, Math, and History- allowing teachers to customize activities to their lesson plans.
Helps students meet Standards requirements of being able to read and interpret information in graphic organizers.
Easy-to-read icons at the top and bottom of pages identify both the type of graphic organizer page and the subject area.
Introductory pages include Acronyms (for use as a memory tool) and Other Mnemonic Strategies (such as Rhyming and Songs, Fun Stories, Chunking, and more).
