World Trade Center Memorial proposals

5,201 people from around the world submitted proposals to the design competition for the World Trade Center Memorial. The competition was launched in spring 2003. Over 10,000 people registered to submit designs, making it, by far, the largest design competition in history.

Entrants submitted their designs anonymously, and were identified to the jury only by a six digit serial number. On November 19th, 2003, the eight World Trade Center Memorial finalists and their designs were revealed to the public. The Lower Manhattan Development Corporation also announced plans to display all 5,201 proposals to the public sometime in late 2003 or early 2004.

This wiki will host a directory of the 5,193 non-finalist proposals. This directory is being maintained by participants in the competition and will evolve with time as the list grows. To add your design to the list, provide a very brief description (one or two lines max) and a link to your design. Also please include your competition entry number, this will facilitate linking to LMDC webpages if and when they publish the boards online.
