Windsor
Windsor (usually pronunced 'winzer', but the d may be included) is a small town in Berkshire on the south-western outskirts of London. It is the location of Windsor Castle, one of the official residences of the British royal family. The castle was originally established by King William I of England but has been substantially altered and added to over the centuries.It is also the location of Legoland.
The town is administered by the Windsor and Maidenhead unitary authority.
Windsor was adopted as the official surname of the British monarch during World War I (See House of Windsor).
