USS Undine

The U.S. Civil War river gunboat USS Undine which was sunk in the Battle of New Johnsonville in 1864 by the Confederacy. A group called "Raise the Gunboats" in Benton County, Tennesssee is attempting to salvage the remaining portions of the Undine. So far, the group has had mixed success, with some artifacts from the gunboat recovered as well as a derrick boat from the turn of the century.
