Tippi Hedren

Tippi Hedren (born January 19, 1931) is an American actress. Her birthname is Nathalie Hedren. She was discoverd by Alfred Hitchcock who saw her while she acting in a commerical. He was looking for an actress who looked like Grace Kelly. Hedren appeared in The Birds and Marnie for Hitchcock.

She is the mother of actress Melanie Griffith. Hedren is active in animal causes. She is sometimes billed as 'Tippi' Hedren.
