Therion

Therion is a Swedish symphonic/death metal band. Its name originates from Greek "to mega therion" meaning "the great beast". It was founded by Christofer Johnsson in 1989.

Therion's latter albums are themed about different mythologies (Shumerian, Scandinavian and others). The music is quite unusual, featuring a choir and an orchestra.
