The Giver

The Giver (ISBN 0440237688) by Lois Lowry is a novel about a possible future of the world. The protagonist of the book is Jonas. He was selected to be the receiver of memories, which he would get from the giver. Jonas needs to get the memories from the GIver so that he can provide accurate advice to the Community. Lowry was awarded a Newbery Medal in 1994 for The Giver.
