The Forever War series
The Forever War series is a collection of books by Joe Haldeman which take place over the next thousand years.Forever Free uses the same characters (William Mandella and Mary Gay Potter) originally created in the Forever War 20 years after the conclusion of that book, while Forever Peace is set in the same universe with an entirely unrelated set of characters.
The Forever War and Forever Peace are both recipients of the Hugo Award
