Supreme Power

In 2003 science-fiction writer J. Michael Straczynski was hired by Marvel Comics to reboot the Squadron Supreme series, and do a full retelling of the Squadron Supreme from scratch.

This new series went on sale in August 2003, and was titled Supreme Power; the first issue dealt with the character of Hyperion, the Marvel Comics version of Superman. The first issue sold out immediately, and became one of Marvels' best selling issues of the year.
