Southern Conference

The Southern Conference is a college athletic conference which operates in the southeastern United States. It participates in the NCAA's Division I-AA for football and Division I for all other sports.

There are twelve partial or full-time member schools:

• Appalachian State University
• University of Tennessee (Chattanooga)
• The Citadel
• College of Charleston [no football program]
• Davidson College [basketball-only member]
• East Tennessee State University
• Furman University
• Georgia Southern University
• University of North Carolina Greensboro [basketball-only member]
• Virginia Military Institute (VMI)
• Western Carolina University
• Wofford College
