Soho Foundry

Soho Foundry is a factory created by Boulton and Watt at Smethwick, just over the border with Birmingham, for the manufactire of steam engines.

The factory is mostly extant, and is now the home of Avery Berkel, who make weighing scales. The site includes William Murdoch's cottage.

There is a small musuem there, open only by appointment.
