Scott McCloud
Scott McCloud (born 1960 in Massachusetts, USA) is a creator of comics and also a leading scholar of the comics as a distict artistic medium.Scott McCloud created the fictional character Zot in 1984 as a fun counter-balance to the often too-serious superhero genre. However, though he has remained active as a writer and illustrator in the comics industry, he is known primarily as a comics theorist due to his well-named, comprehensive volume titled Understanding Comics.
He was also one of the earliest creators of web comics.
