Saunders MacLane

Saunders MacLane (born 4 August 1909) is an American mathematician. He is one of the founders of category theory.

He studied at the Yale University from 1926 to 1930 before joining the University of Chicago and later becoming an assistant professor at Harvard University.

MacLane was born in Taftville, Connecticut.
