Saue
Saue is a little town near Tallinn - the capital of Estonia.The territory of Saue is 350 ha and population about 5000. Closest centres are Tallinn - 18 km, Keila - 7 km, Saku - 7 km and Laagri - 7 km.
Brief history
- 1920 - Garden suburb started to arise,
- 1960 - Saue garden suburb was united with Tallinn,
- 1973 - Saue garden suburb was renamed to Saue village,
- 1993 - Saue village was renamed to Saue town,
- 1994 - Saue was separated from Tallinn.
People 93 % of the people living in Saue are Estonians. Average age of people is 35. Over the years cencus of the population has shown, that the population is slowly growing - 1959 there was 1088 people living in Saue, 1970 it was 1979, in year 1979 it was 3293, in 1989 the population was 4395, in 1995 it was 4492 and 2000 it was 4996.
Usage of land In Saue there is 130 ha of private plots (average size of a plot is about 700 squaremeters) - 1015 plots, about 35 ha of communal buildigs, garages etc., 25 ha of industrial areas, Streets and roads about 30 ha(there is 62 streets in Saue - about 21 kilometers), about 112 ha of forests, parks etc. and about 15 ha of fields.
