Rupert Everett

He was born in Norfolk, England, and raised by monks. He is gay; though he has often been cast in gay roles, he has also played straight people. His first major film role was in Dance with a Stranger (1985). Other movie appearances include The Madness of King George (1994), A Midsummer Night's Dream (1999), The Importance of Being Earnest (2002), My Best Friend's Wedding and Shakespeare in Love.

Besides his acting career, Everett has had some success as a novelist.
