Rowan University
Rowan University (formerly Glassboro State College) is a public university located in Glassboro, New JerseyIt was founded in 1923 as "Glassboro Normal School". It became "Glassboro State Teachers College" in the 1930s, and later became "Glassboro State College" in 1958. The school was renamed "Rowan College of New Jersey" in 1992 after Henry and Betty Rowan gave $100 million to the school. It became a university in 1997.
There are about 6,000 full-time and 2,100 part-time undergraduate and 1,100 graduate students at Rowan University.
A summit in Hollybush Mansion took place on June 23 and 25, 1967 between President Lyndon Johnson and Soviet Premier Aleksei Kosygin.
