Range encoder
A range encoder is an entropy coder that is believed to approach the compressing of arithmetic coding without the patent encumbrances of arithmetic coding, range coder is faster due to the renormalization in bytes, that happens less usually.See also: Shannon-Fano coding, Huffman coding
