Quills

Quills is a 2000 film which tells the story of the imprisonment of the Marquis de Sade. It stars Geoffrey Rush, Kate Winslet, Joaquin Phoenix, Michael Caine and Billie Whitelaw.

The movie was adapted by Doug Wright from his play, and was directed by Philip Kaufman.

It was nominated for Academy Awards for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Geoffrey Rush), Best Art Direction-Set Decoration and Best Costume Design.
