Querétaro

Querétaro is a state in central Mexico; the capital is Santiago de Querétaro.

The state is bordered to the north by the state of San Luis Potosí, to the east by Guanajuato, to the west by Hidalgo State, to the southeast by Mexico State, and to the southwest by Michoacán. ISO 3166-2 is MX-QUE.

The state is divided into 18 municipios:

The city of Santiago de Querétaro, also often known simply as Querétaro, is about 200 km to the northwest of Mexico City. It is known for its Colonial Era architecture.
