Portsea Island

A small island on the south coast of England originally in the county of Hampshire, but now part of the Unitary Authority of Portsmouth. Most of the city of Portsmouth is located on the island. To the East lies Langstone Harbour, to the West lies Portsmouth Harbour. To the South is the Solent. To the North a small channel, almost a moat separates the island from the mainland ,the large island of Great Britain.

There are ferries to Gosport, Hayling Island, the Isle of Wight.

There are 7 bridges. A small bridge joins it to Whale Island.
