Poaching

Poaching is the act of hunting for fish or game illegally, or trespassing for the purpose of taking fish or game illegally. Colloquially, especially in business, it can also refer to infringing on another's territory, literally or metaphorically, for example enticing staff from one company to leave for another.

In cooking, poaching is the cooking of food by simmering it in a small amount of liquid.
