Pita (also called pitta or pita bread) is a round flat wheat bread made with yeast. It is traditional in many Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisines. Pita is used to dip sauces such as hummus and to wrap sandwiches such as gyros. It is also sometimes split open and filled as pocket bread.

Pita is also the working name of an electronic musician, Peter Rehberg, who co-runs the Mego record label.
