Phoenix Park

Phoenix Park is a large park in the centre of Dublin. Rumoured to be the largest city park in Europe. Contains the residences of the President of Ireland (�ras an Uachtar�in) and the United States Ambassador to Ireland (Deerfield Residence).

The name is a corruption of the Irish fionn uisce, meaning "clear water." It also Featured prominently in James Joyce's "Finnegans Wake".
