Passport To Pimlico
In the British comedy film Passport To Pimlico (Ealing Studios, 1949), residents of post-war London, England discover a parchment that shows that a small part of London is, in fact, independent from the British Crown. It is "part of Burgundy", and the Duke of Burgundy comes to claim his rights. The script is by T.E.B. Clarke and demonstrates his usual logical development of absurd ideas.A BBC Radio 4 adaptation was broadcast on January 20, 1996.
