Olusegun Obasanjo
Olesegun Obasanjo (born March 5, 1937) is the president of Nigeria.He was born in Abeokuta, Ogun, and enlisted into the army at the age of 18 He trained at Aldershot and was commissioned as an officer. He was military leader of Nigeria from 1976 to 1979, when he handed power back to civilian authorities. The military (excluding him) soon took control over the government again.
He ran and won in the 1999 presidential elections, which marked a return to civilian rule after 16 years of military dictatorship.
