North Carolina Bicycle Route 5, the Cape Fear Run, travels 160 miles along the Cape Fear River from Apex to Wilmington. This is one of nine bicycle routes designated, signed and mapped by the North Carolina Department of Transportation Bicycle and Pedestrian Division.
