New Republic (Star Wars)

The New Republic is a fictional government from the Star Wars movie series.

When the Rebel Alliance restablished the Galactic Republic it became known as the New Republic, as the original Galactic Republic had become known as the Old Republic by this time. The New Republic lasted until Yuuzhan Vong capture of Coruscant (in the Expanded Universe).
