Mount Dana

Mount Dana (elevation 13,057') is a mountain on the eastern edge of Yosemite National Park. The Dana Meadows lie at the foot of the mountain. They are named after James Dana, a professor of geology at Yale. Mount Dana is composed of reddish metamorphic rock. Mount Dana is a class 1 climb (hike), 3 miles and 3000' elevation gain from the road at Tioga Pass.
