Motor
A motor is a device that converts energy into mechanical power, and is often synonymous with engine.The name is used by automakers (Ford Motor Company, General Motors, etc.), although this may also refer to the word 'motor' used widely in the early 20th century as an abbreviation for 'motor car', a synonym for automobile.
