Mods

(Internet slang for moderators) People on a World Wide Web forum who can edit or otherwise change the state of other users' comments, similar to (though less powerful than) administrators.
Add-ons to a PC game, usually (but not always) an FPS. They often extend the storyline of the original game or create a new storyline. Many alter the gameplay. Mods are sometimes released by the creators of the original game, but very often they are created by fans or by other companies.
Modifications made to a computer in order to improve its appearance.
