Milk of Magnesia

Milk of Magnesia is a saline osmotic (hydrating) laxative. It is also used as an antacid. Care should be taken with the use of milk of magnesia for either of these purposes, as it can easily cause diarrhea.

It is an aqueous suspension of magnesium hydroxide, sometimes with a proportion of magnesium carbonate.
