Controversy

Michael Barrymore's home was search when a male drowneded in his pool. Many tabloid newspapers labelled Barrymore a murderer, and accused him of holding gay drug-fueled orgies in his home.

After months of police investigation. Barrymore was given a caution for the use of cannabis; no other charges were filed against anyone. The male, who was a heterosexual (as were most at the party), drowned by accident.
