Manduessedum
Manduessedum was a Roman fort settlement in modern day Warwickshire in England.The fort was founded in around c AD 50-AD 60 on the Watling Street Roman road. The rebel queen of the Britons Boudicca was defeated in her final battle near Manduessedum by the Roman general Suetonius Paullinus.
The modern town of Atherstone is built close to the site of Manduessedum.
