Maltase

Maltase is one types of enzymes that produced by the cells lining of the small intestine to break down disaccharides.

In the small intestine the bond that hold two glucoses together cannot be splited by amylases another enzymes that use to digest polysaccharides. Maltase is the enzymes that split the bond holding Maltose, malt sugar, together into two serperate glucose molecules.
