Ligue Communiste Révolutionnaire
The Ligue Communiste Révolutionnaire (LCR, "Communist Revolutionary League") is a French trotskyite political party. It sees itself as the French section of the Fourth International.Its official spokesman is Alain Krivine, but Olivier Besancenot was the candidate for the 2002 French presidential election.
An ongoing issue is the possibility and conditions of an electoral alliance with fellow trotskyite party Lutte Ouvrière.
The LCR is suspected of practicing entrism into left-wing groups such as ATTAC or the Solidaires Unitaires Démocratiques trade unions.
