Kovalam

Kovalam is a beach resort around 13 kilometers outside Trivandrum, near the southern tip of India.

It was among the most prominent tourist spots in India during the hippy era. It still has a high status among tourists (mostly European) even though the glory days are very much over.

The nearest airport is Trivandrum International Airport (VOTV). Regular buses ply to Kovalam from the City Bus Stand at East Fort.

The tourist season is from November to March.
