King Diamond

King Diamond (as Kim Bendix Petersen) was born on June 14, 1956 in Denmark. He formed Mercyful Fate in 1980 of a black metal group and to a large extent pioneered the genre. He retired from Mercyful Fate in 1988 after King released his two solo albums.
