Katherine Harris
Katherine Harris is an American politican and member of the Republican Party.She was Secretary of State of Florida during the contested U.S. presidential election, 2000. Journalist Greg Palast later charged her, Governor of Florida Jeb Bush, and the ChoicePoint corporation with voter fraud.
In 2002, Harris was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from what predominately Republican district.
On August 7, 2003, Harris was booed by her constituents at a Bradenton town meeting. Meeting "security guards" confiscated all written materials (questions, charts comparing drug costs, and printed copies of Harris' voting record in Congress) brought by meeting attendees and then distributed pro-Harris literature. At the end of her talk, Harris refused to answer any questions until all questions had first been asked. After taking questions for 25 minutes, Harris used her remaining 15 minutes to answer, declining to entertain any follow-up questions.
