Joseph Hergenroether

Joseph Hergenröther (September 15, 1824 - October 3, 1890) was a Catholic Church historian and canonist, and first Cardinal-Prefect of the Vatican Archives.

Born at Würzburg, he died at Mehrerau (Bodensee).
