Internet Engineering Steering Group
The Internet Engineering Steering Group is a body composed of the Internet Engineering Task Force Chair, Area Directors :
- Internet Area (int)
- Operations & Management Area (ops)
- Routing Area (rtg)
- Security Area (sec)
- Transport Area (tsv)
- Temporary Sub-IP Area (sub) and so on.
It provides the first technical review of Internet standards and is responsible for day-to-day management of the IETF. It recieves appeals of the decisions of the working groups and IESG to progress documents in the standards track.
