Incomplete dominance

Incomplete dominance is a term in genetics that refers to the situation where an organism inherits a blended phenotype instead of just the dominant trait, when both the dominant and recessive alleles are present in the genotype. For instance, in four-o'-clocks and snapdragons, crossing red and white produces pink.

Examples for incomplete recessiveness include Sickle cell anaemia in humans.
