Helgeandsholmen

Helgeandsholmen, is a small island in the center of Stockholm, Sweden. The island is adjacent to Stadsholmen and the Royal Palace togeather with which it forms the Old town of Stockholm.

A single building stands on the island, which is the building of the Swedish parliament, the Riksdag. The name Helgeandsholmen is a short form for "Den helige andes holme", which literally translates to "The Islet of the Holy Spirit".
